Importance

Why this is needed

Staff & Visitor Protection

Functioning exit and emergency lighting ensures everyone in your workplace can evacuate safely in an emergency. It's a critical safeguard that supports the wellbeing of your team and anyone on your premises.

Safety Compliance

Regular testing ensures that emergency exit lighting is functioning properly and remains illuminated when needed. It prevents accidents, panic and confusion by providing clear exit pathways.

Legal Requirement

Non-compliance with safety regulations can result in significant penalties, including fines and legal actions. Regular testing helps you stay compliant with these regulations and avoid potential legal issues.

Insurance Requirements

Insurance policies may require proof of regular testing and maintenance. Failure to comply could result in denied claims if an incident occurs.

Business Continuity

Emergencies can disrupt operations, causing safety risks and financial losses. A well-prepared business demonstrates professionalism and duty of care, building trust with staff and clients.

Peace of Mind

Knowing emergency lights are functioning correctly provides confidence for building owners, managers and occupants. It also ensures the building is always prepared for unexpected power failures or fire incidents.

1

Visual Inspection of the Equipment

Our technicians will check for physical damage, dirt, or obstructions blocking exit signs. They will ensure the signs are securely mounted and clearly visible.

2

Functionality Testing

Our technicians conduct functionality testing (6 month inspection) by simulating a power failure to confirm that all emergency lights turn on automatically using battery backup.

3

Annual Testing

Our technicians will leave the emergency lights running on battery power for at least 90 minutes to ensure that all lights stay illuminated for the full durations.

4

Generate Report

We provide a detailed digital report summarising the test results, including recommendations for maintenance or repairs if necessary and the date your premises is next due for testing.
